Valentine's Day

Veteran director GARRY MARSHALL has assembled a stellar cast of spunks and hunks vying for screentime in this intertwining tale of a group of Californian couples who break-up and makeup on Cupid's annual big day out. Like most plots of this nature, some segments work better than others and while this lightweight, all too neatly packaged and ridiculously incestuous romp is pat,sanitised and predictable, for the most part, it does deliver a couple of genuine surprises, some unexpected restraint and will please the myriad of devotees of fluffy rom coms.
